As she progresses in her war on crime and corruption as the masked vigilante that some took to calling their very own Batwoman of New York City, she uses the image of a bat to strike fear into the hearts of those who use their power to oppress and harm the innocent, but she also attracts the attention of someone from her past, but one that would pose a direct threat to not only her, but the city she loves and is a part of her legacy.
Be warned, there's a lot of dark themes associated with the story and a lot of gritty vibes. So if this makes you uncomfortable, you're welcome to avoid the fanfiction and don't read it. This is also an alternate take on the Batwoman character using inspirations from various medias to make the story darker and grittier, including references to and various movies or other forms of media, including Batman Begins, Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, Matt Reeve's The Batman, and vice versa.
