My name is Flora. I'm the only girl in the Glade. I was told that the Glade was the safest place I could be at. And I believed it.
Safe.
That was the one word I've always been told my whole life while living here.
"The Glade is safe."
"The rules keep us safe."
"Staying within these walls keep us safe."
And I always followed those rules. Everything was fine. Everything was good. Life in the Glade couldn't have been any better. No change ever came to these rules.
Until the new guy arrived.
Suddenly, things started changing. And not for the better.
I was also not the only girl in the glade now that another was suddenly sent in.
"She's the last one ever."
What is that supposed to mean?
Maybe the Glade isn't as safe as I used to think anymore.
