All her life, sixteen year-old Miabella Hathaway thought that she was as interesting as a slice of bread.
She was a typical sarcastic high school junior with a fiery passion for eating, sleeping, and procrastination. Her life consisted of nothing but those four things, and she thought her whole youth would be consumed in its boring and repetitive cycle.
But when her fashion designer Aunt invites her back to her mother's home country for the summer, she is unexpectedly mistaken for an aspiring artist who went M.I.A on her own debut stage.
Suddenly, Miabella didn't seem so plain anymore; not when an entire country's eyes and ears were pinned to her every move.
When an unkempt girl who is used to lounging around her house in her underwear is given a mic, a spotlight, and a new identity, things are bound to happen, especially when the infamously suave and arrogant trainee, Ace Sanders, is unintentionally dragged into Miabella's mess.
"Sometimes, people are too scared to do what they were created to do, so the world around them starts to take action. It hits you when you least expect it, and you can't run away from it, because it's what you wanted all along. "

A/N
Hi hi! Thank you for taking the time to view my story :)
This story in particular is very close to my heart; it involves a lot of episodes that have happened in my personal life, and very personal thoughts and feelings I've had as an emotional wreck, also known as a teenager.
I like to think that I have a very eventful life, even though it's pretty boring most of the time, but the most random things happen to me at the most perfectly timed moments.
So as you read about Miabella and her life-changing encounters, I hope you find something relatable in her or any of the other characters.
Prepare to laugh, to cry, and to take chances.
Romero, struggling to push through the day to day life of his world: court bills, money, family, money, the past, money, his own mind, and more money.
Carmen has been pushing to become a lawyer her whole life; wanting to be taken seriously in a field dominated by men is not easy though, and if putting up a front to be taken seriously is what it takes, then so be it. A certain struggle comes with feeling as though you have to act a certain way versus who you really are. Except a sensitive heart of gold can't be hidden behind a brick wall forever.
Two people, walking across the same tight trope on opposite ends, trying not to fall.
One going against the law and one trying to be the law.
One born with a silver spoon and one suffering from the abrasions of life.
Both trying to survive in worlds not made for them.
Except everything in this world overlaps; bridges connecting different lives and stories. It's just a matter of realizing you're not too different from the person on the other side of that bridge.
