[There is a better, final edition of this story called Haven's Army.]

Individualism. Freedom. Friendship. Love. Man's four virtues. What if it was all taken away?
Everyone is the same. They do their part in supplying the Halo and making the government island's inhabitants' lives better. But what of them? Step out of line and you are tortured. That's just what Charlotte does, just after an accident involving a modern bomber plane and she ends up on an island everyone thought was destroyed for, you guessed it, an uprising. There, she discovers a quite large resistance force made up of kids from around thirteen to nineteen, just waiting for the right moment to strike.
Charlotte discovers hidden powers and soon, they're off to restore their individualism, freedom, friendship, love.

"They took my sister. Now I'm taking her back." Seventeen years ago, humans started developing supernatural abilities. Comic books came true as the first person flew, created fire, mind-read. The world entered a new age where people who could do special things were revered and admired. That all changed when one man lost control of his power and unleashed a huge explosion in a crowded shopping centre, killing over a thousand others. A series of fights involving superhumans broke out, resulting in the destruction of multiple cities and hundreds upon hundreds of further lives lost. The government began hunting down those extraordinary people with the assistance of a specialised unit: trained in recognising different abilities. Suddenly powers became something scary, uncontrollable and dangerous, that nobody wanted to own up to having. Seventeen years after the Explosion, Amelie Rose Carmichael is the daughter of the man who is in charge of hunting down and imprisoning these people. She enjoys a comfortable life, protected from any threats against her. But when Amelie develops an ability without warning, she must try to keep it hidden from her family, her friends, and above all her father. Can she keep a secret? Will she use her powers to help the rebel organisation that has approached her? And what secrets are the people around her hiding? He Was A Ten

29 parts Complete

I don't know why I am the way I am. I just know that it's been this way ever since I was born. Paige Roberts was born with the ability to see numbers above everyone's head. These numbers showed how dangerous the person was on a scale of 1-10. So, a normal person would be a 1, while a trained assassin with an assault riffle would be more of a 7. What happens when the new kid at school turns out to be a ten? Paige may want to avoid this new kid at all costs, but looks like fate has other plans. So how will this end? When it comes to the most dangerous kid alive, who knows what's going to happen?
