Ruby Evans is a girl who can create fire with her own body. However, she hides her power even with the person she trusts the most for the fear of being stabbed with a silver penknife, believing that she is Flame, the goddess of fire and hell.

Even though she denies being Flame, deep down in her heart she perfectly knows that she is the goddess and that it is impossible for a simple person to create fire with its body.

Ruby was born in London, England, and traveled to Port Royal with her mother, Governor Weatherby Swann, Elizabeth Swann, James Norrington, and Joshamee Gibbs, in the HMS Dauntless, when she was eleven years old.
