Alan Lafway (Thunderheart) has been missing for twenty years. His love, Sarah Housepaw, has left the Tribe in an expedition to find him. While they are gone, the Tribe falls into winter, and must survive the bitter cold. Thunderheart is the only one with the power to save them from the eternal blizzard, and he must do so quickly.
