It seems like it's always fall in Ridgewood. Quiet rain, and chilly weather is not uncommon for the town. April Williams, a resident to Ridgewood, is a new gossip source to the town because of her mother's disappearance. Hector, her father, who used to be the town's doctor, has locked himself away in their attic, shunning her out of his life and everyone else since the vanish of her mother. Little does April know, Hector is keeping a few things from her.
Sheriff Holt has a secret of his own; Adam White. Adam is a convicted criminal of murder, rape, and assault, being also blamed for another few serious crimes that happened before Adam's arrest. He hasn't seen the light of day for years, locked in solitary confinement, and only given the essentials.
What the town doesn't know about Adam is that all the accusations were fake. Holt has used Adam as a scapegoat, even with all the evidence backing up his innocence, Holt managed to convince the whole town.
