A 'Rebel Prince' of a modern Monarchy must choose a bride! This is the last thing he wants to do and fears he will lose his freedom. 
A kingdom law has been invoked and the long-used 'Quest' is revived to assure that Prince Albert chooses a bride during a seven-day program of events where several hundred candidates will take place in various activities. His choice will be announced at the final ball which will end at midnight. 
In the background of the quest being enacted, treachery, treason and terror threaten to destabilize the kingdom and turn it into a dictatorship controlled by the last person anyone would suspect.
