Learning To Feel

Izuku knew what emotions were he just... Didn't know how to feel them. He felt numb and empty when he tried. He saw how other people reacted to situations, but couldn't react like that himself. He saw other kids talk excitedly and would try to replicate it, only for it to come out in his familiar monotone that shouldn't belong to a 4 year old.
