Shaun O. Smith immediately began working on his next piece "Perfection" after finishing his poetic debut "The Results of a Failed Abortion." While not wanting to flesh out a full concept so close to his Freshman foray into poetry, Shaun did want to put out a substantial piece to bridge the gap. In this case, the idea that is perfection held enough weight on its own to push Shaun to pursue a short body of work but failed to hold up an entire collections worth. So he went with "Limited Poetry" as a subtitle to show readers there would be less content than a "Collection" but more from him nonetheless. The main idea of perfection presented by Shaun O. Smith is that it is the most desired substance and yet completely unobtainable.
