'Help Her!' Serafina's mind screamed at her. 'Help Her! Attack the Rat, Attack the Rat!' She finally plucked up her courage and charged Forward, but just at that moment, The man's black satin cloak floated upward as if possessed by a smoky spirit.
The girl screamed. The folds of the cloak slithered around her like the tentacles of a hungry serpent. The cloak seemed to move at its own accord, wrapping, twisting, accompanied by a disturbing rattling noise, like the hissing threats of a hundred rattlesnakes.
Serafina saw the girl's horrified face looking at her within the folds of the enveloping cloak, The girl's pleading eyes wide with fear. 'Help me! Help me!' Then the folds closed over her, the scream went silent, and the girl disappeared, leaving nothing from the blackness of the cloak.

I sit down on my bike looking around the school parking lot. Listening to music, I stand up begin to walk through the student-less parking lot. Honestly, it's not like I meant to be late. I look at all the men in the group who had their jaws dropped, all except for one, "Touch me one more time, and I'll brake your arm in two." I stand and kick his back so he falls on the concert. "Anyone else?" they stare at me blankly. "Didn't think so." When fuck boy tries to get up, I take my foot and slam him back down. Looking back at the boys, I say, "Later boys." Two figures walked up to the house and stopped in front of the fence. Scarlett shuffled closer to the figures to be able to hear what they were saying. She didn't know who they were, but if they lived in that mansion they were probably rich. And if they were rich that meant they'd have money. Money to pay debts. She hid behind a large trashcan and spied on the figures. It was a boy and a girl; with the girl in a wheelchair. And luckily, she could hear their voices. 'I'm not sure about this, are you sure you're going to be okay?', the boy asked the girl. 'No,' she replied as she suspiciously scanned the area and sniffed her nose. 'There's someone out there,' she said eventually. The boy looked around, confused, and smiled. 'It's probably just a stray cat.' 'No,' the girl said again, 'I know this scent.' Scarlett tensed and held her breath. What did she meant when she said she knew that scent? The girl pushed her wheelchair away from the fence, away from the house and the boy obediently followed. 'I told you, it's probably nothing.' Scarlett hid her head behind the trashcan and took off her backpack. There she reached for her collapsible sword. It slowly started to rain and Scarlett cursed silently to herself. This would blur her hearing senses. She could hear the girl approach as she was mumbling to herself.
