On her first night back, Cali discovers Jason Kanton near dead in wood behind her house. She saves his life, but bad things are just beginning. People keep disappearing, and trouble she hasn't seen since she was ten is starting to brew again. Everyone in Bayou La Batre is in danger, and only Cali can stop it.

It's a dream come true. But not all is as it seems in this land of make-believe. As Charlie works to uncover the darker side of this magical world, he must learn what it truly means to be a hero...his OWN way. **AUTHOR'S NOTE - I'm very excited to share this project with you all! This is a passion project of mine, a love letter to the YA fantasy genre, as well as a deconstruction of many of the tropes. It's a twist on the usual YA fantasy formula, and will definitely be poking fun at certain aspects! I hope you will find it a refreshing breath of fresh air, and love it as much as I enjoyed writing it!
