The story follows Zoe, a young 9 year old girl who lives a normal life. She comes from a horrible family where her mother simply doesn't care for her, her father who verbally abuses her and her bully of a brother who would punch her whenever he got the chance.
Zoe covered in small scars, bruises and cuts is just learning to be comfortable with her body. Not being able to talk to anyone about how she feels she's developed the skill to hide her feelings, but when will she finally open up?
One day Zoe gets the chance of her life, she's going to camp! For a week Zoe leaves her family and gets to make friends. But what she didn't expect was for her to discover the most shocking thing of her life...
