Jeremy is a sucker for paintings, good or bad, when he needs to cover bare walls. When his family moves into his grandfather's old home he takes it as an opportunity to reclaim artwork lost to the attic. The search begins but one thing stands in his way: an intriguing box.

It turns out the Bertie Mansion has more hidden inside than mediocre paintings. He can delve into the secrets of the home and risk learning information long since buried, or continue on his original mission and risk leaving the past uncovered when it is due time to let it see light. Whichever path he picks, the ball has already started rolling and it's only a matter of time.

The City Lake

20 parts Complete

Caleb's list of job responsibilities did not include saving his city from a drought. He was as far from the hero type as he could be, starting with muscles and ending with courage. When the ghost hunting club he had joined theorized their plight was due to the paranormal, he went along with it to appease them. No one could predict what he would find on the lakebed, or the path he would have to take to bring water back to the city. --- Word Count: ~20,000 The 2021 prompts #5 and #64 were used in the making of this novella.
