In the world of Caedes, mages are marked with a bad reputation, to the point where they are left unjust if one of their loved ones dies.
Cyrus is a fire mage whom lost his mother in a tragic hate crime; left in the care of his powerless father. While his father strives to conceal him for safety, Cyrus's wish on this world is to start a movement - to where his powers won't be shunned or hidden.
Osiris is a mage of chaos; his father secretly being the one whom started the hatred of their abilities. After his father, the ex-king of their kingdom known as Lucerna, gets impeached and eventually executed, he flees his castle to start a new life and to hide from the laws of hierarchy. Not wanting to be a King, his endless strive to seek normality is a tough one - especially when his father is still able to communicate through questionable powers Osiris possesses.
The two meet, and in spite of their differences, align to stop what Osiris's father has caused to their Kingdom. Can they do it, or willl they fall beneath precedent fears and stereotypes?

The planet was destroyed ages ago by a group of people which we have to bring back in 5 days, else it's pieces will crash on Earth and destroy the humanity completely. And the weirdness doesn't end here. We have to defeat a 'Dark Lord' too. He was a maniacal god who became a magician with the help of another magician. We have to kill him because if we don't then, he would kill us, which doesn't sound nice (and is a bit confusing) (*wink*). *** This is the first book of Monastasia series.
