Ah, love, drag me to the depths of the oceans and live with me in bliss.
When a bubbly, cloud-haired explorer curiously studies the mermaid species, she meets a sleek and beautiful mermaid who is just as interested in Ianthe as Ianthe is in her new mermaid 'friend', Eris.
"Ianthe.. What is a bride?" asked Eris curiously, as they sat by the shore, her head on Ianthe's shoulder.
"A woman you are about to marry." replied Ianthe patiently, looking off into the sunset with a smile curving her lips.
"Marry?"
"You marry a person you love romantically."
"... What is romantically?"
Ianthe kept her silence for a while, thinking of the best way to answer the mermaid by her shoulder, but relaxed and said the first thing that came to mind.
"To love romantically, is to see a home in someone. You want to be with that person, to cherish, to treasure, to become one with that someone. You want to be with them forever, you feel happy in their presence, and most of all, you feel like they would do the same with you too. You want them more as friends, something beautiful like family, but you want to give them more than your name; you want them to have your heart and soul. "
Eris fell silent. The only sound that could be heard were the calm waves, slowly coming forward and retreating once more.
"Ianthe, be my bride."
