Sequel to The Heart of Voltron. Zoey along with Yukiko disappeared from the White Lion after the battle with Zarkon. The group still continues to look for her as they try to find a paladin for the White Lion and free the universe from the Galra. But what happens when they hear rumors about a giant robot that is composed of five robotic wolves and one of the pilots looks like Zoey?

Princess Allura, Alfor's royal adviser Coran, and the Altean Castle of Lions were hidden on planet Arus along with the Black Lion. In the present, the Galra Empire's path of conquest and search for Voltron has led them to Earth's solar system. A group of space pilots-Shiro, Keith, Lana, Pidge, and Hunk-discover the Blue Lion and immediately get swept up into the Galran War.
