Honestly, no one really liked the idea, especially the Bad Sanses, including Ink's enemy, Error. Prince Nightmare is one of the AUs that must repeat these years of treachery. He basically only finished his actual highschool, and is NOT looking forward to having to do it again. Luckily his brother, Prince Dream, will be coming along the journey beside him. But Nightmare and Dream Are polar opposites, so Nightmare can't really get along with his brother's friends, nor Dream get along with Nightmare's, if he had any. With rules to follow and secrets to keep, Nightmare must go through highschool and not let slip the terrible things that happen at home. But then suddenly the two princes disappear. There's no trace as to who might've taken them, either. The only one that doesn't seem concerned is their own father, the king. King Sun-Beam. Every year, if either on the Angel or Devil side, if there isn't another ruler to rule alongside the main one, or 'protector', then there is a specific time you have to find someone. Otherwise, you get kicked off as it is unfair to rule alone. The only reason Ink isn't kicked off is because he has someone ruling with him. Dream & Blue. Of course, Nightmare has only been able to stall by trying to find one, seeing them as not the one, and the counter gets reset. You can't do it forever though. Now, Ink terribly naive for a protector. Of course, he was the heart. He had a place in everyone's heart- With Dream & Blue being the next. Blue being a guard, and Dream being his 'right-hand man.' Most of the time being the one helping and guiding Ink. They soon find him to be missing, captured by the demons. Panic would be spread all over the place if they were to find out Ink was missing.
