I wake up alone in a cold, damp cell. I spend hours searching my mind for anything to explain how or why I am here. I can't even remember my own name.

She wakes up with no knowledge of her past. Or present, for that matter. She is taken into a hospital where she is informed that she has suffered a great trauma, although no one seems too eager to tell her just what that tragic accident was. Her friends come to visit her and are shocked at her lack of memory, explaining that the same incident killed her parents.
