"You don't have to do this Meara! You are so much better than this! Just put it down!" He yelled. She shrugged.
"Save your pleading for someone who cares." Meara held it up and, pointing to where Grey was crouching, she pressed the trigger.

Calista Meara is just a Starfleet officer. But when she wakes up from a rather nasty bump on the head, the world around her has changed drastically. She appears to have woken up in an alternate universe with no apparent way to go home. And then time repeats back on itself and she's back where she began... Only this time she's had a taste of what could be and she's willing to do anything to make it happen.

"You really care about her, don't you?" Tom said, but the commander didn't answer. So Tom clarified his statement. "The Captain, I mean." "I have the utmost respect and admiration for Captain Janeway." Chakotay's response had been a long time coming. "Yeah, that too..." Tom threw in, as the tone of Chakotay's voice suggested the question had hit a little too close to home. Tom paused momentarily, mulling over what to say next or whether to keep his mouth shut. He put his hand on Chakotay's shoulder. "Commander, I could be wrong but, personally, I think you're holding out on false hope. If it was me, I'd want to know for sure. Maybe even push the point. Make a move. I mean, what's the worst case scenario here? Either she's going to phaser you, or she's going to..." "Consider yourself relieved, Lieutenant!" They both jumped, startled at the sound of her voice. Inwardly, Tom wondered how long the captain might have been standing behind him, while he tried to remember the last few words of his conversation with Chakotay. SYMBOLS or more informally "Why the heck Chakotay chose Seven of Nine when, previously, he wanted to throw her out the nearest airlock" is a work of fanfiction. It sticks to canon and is an ensemble piece, but focuses on Janeway and Chakotay predominantly. Paramount and Pocket Books own everything Star Trek - no copyright breaches intended. I just took the characters out for a play. Literary agent sent most of this to Pocket Books in 1998, but they didn't want it. I have a sweet rejection letter! So it's mine now. A couple of re-writes since then to relocate it in Season 7 and add Chapter 1 and the Epilogue. Heartfelt thanks to Mary Wood, Heather Harwood, Sara Creasy and Mary S (Duffydog) for the editing long ago. Book cover template from Graphic Springs. Feedback is always appreciated.

"Maybe it's time we stopped trying to stay away from each other," I said, surprising myself with my confidence. A tiny smirk of a smile skittered across his top lip, and before he could say anything in response, I stood on my tiptoes and crushed my lips to his. ****************************** Spock is a Vulcan, he abhors all emotional responses. Alex is completely different, and everything Spock doesn't want. She's crude, messy, unorganised and has a laugh like a drunken hyena. Spock dislikes her from the offset, but as they get closer together, can the two of them prove that opposites really do attract? Rated for swearing (SERIOUSLY I SWEAR A LOT IN MY WRITING BE W A R N Ed) and a few sexual situations (one of the chapters nearer the end is for 18+ only, you'll know when you get to it) ************************* A Slow-Burn Spock OC romance with oodles of sass and tension, read the first chapter and see what you think... Reveiws (from ff.net) 'This is so adorable, I genuinely had to stop reading a few times to fangirl. Please continue soon, this was amazing to read and I aspire to be as good a writer as you. Also everyone should read this, it's cracking.' 'I don't usually review but I feel this fanfic deserves it as it captures the characters amazingly, the writing is witty and spectacular, the story is awesome and I am always left wanting more, thank you for providing this fanfic, it's amazing. Also I look forward to more sass between Spock and Birchwood.'

Meera: "Do you remember the first time we met? Back in school, when you stole my pencil just to get my attention?" Aarav: "I didn't steal it-I borrowed it indefinitely. It was my excuse to talk to you every day." Meera: "And yet, it took you years to finally confess that you liked me." Aarav: "Hey, I had to make sure you liked me too! And you did, didn't you?" Meera: "Of course, I did. From childhood friends to first crushes... It all feels like a dream now. Our late-night phone calls, those stolen glances in college, our first awkward date." Aarav: "Our first fight too. You were so mad at me for forgetting our anniversary." Meera: "Because it was important! But you made up for it with that handwritten letter... That was the moment I knew you were the one." Aarav: "Not when I got down on one knee and proposed?" Meera: "That too. But marriage wasn't always easy, was it?" Aarav: "No, it wasn't. Balancing careers, raising our children, the struggles, the losses... But through it all, we never let go of each other." Meera: "Even when we were exhausted, even when we argued, you always held my hand at night. That's what mattered." Aarav: "Because you were my home, Meera. You still are." Meera: "And now, after all these years, we've seen our children grow, watched them start their own families. And yet, here we are, still just Meera and Aarav, like we were in our twenties." Aarav: "Except with a few more wrinkles and a little less hair." Meera: "Oh, stop it! You're still the same boy who made my heart race." Aarav: "And you're still the girl who stole mine. Even in our 60s, in our 80s, my love for you never faded. If anything, it only grew stronger." Meera: "We've had a beautiful life together, haven't we?" Aarav: "The best. And when the time comes... we'll go the way we lived. Side by side, in each other's arms." Meera: "Together. Always."

Brilliant PhD student Cecilia Ambrosia finds herself on the cusp of a major scientific breakthrough when she attracts the attention of the shady corporation BlackStone. Suddenly thrown into a deadly game, she is forced into an alliance with Atlas, the man sent to keep her in check. As she finds herself in increasing danger, she begins to question who, if anyone, she can trust. As her world closes in around her, she will need to decide: destroy humanity's greatest discovery or fight back and risk it all. "Oh yes, I remember now, when you came to threaten me," she remarked. He stalked towards her, a coy smile tugging at his lips. "That wasn't a threat sweetheart, trust me, you'll know if I threaten you." His husky voice sent a shiver down her spine. Another suppression. She thought distractedly looking at his mouth. He leaned closer, taking her glace as an invitation. "Then may I ask what exactly you do call that?" "It's a little bit sad that you even have to ask that?" He replied, looking at her lips. Her confidence waned as his insinuations became more direct. "Oh my mistake, you must get slapped a lot if that's your method of flirting." She squared her shoulder not willing to back down. He leaned in whispering in her ear, "Do you have a habit of slapping people when you don't know how to react?" She felt her cheeks heat as her mind raced to think of a response. "You want to know something interesting?" He asked, his lips grazing her ear. "I doubt you know anything interesting." She managed to say through the sound of her own heart beating. He chuckled, pulling back to look into her eyes, a mischievous glint lighting in his eyes. "I find it very interesting. That you haven't asked me to let you go." Her heart leapt at the insulation, immediately pushing on his chest. "Hah!" She scoffed, simultaneously insulted and embarrassed.

= 'You're my guardian angel, you know that?' He weaved his fingers in her hair and leaned down to kiss her. Despite the heavy smell of stale kanar on his breath, all she wanted right now was to press her lips to his, let his mouth devour her, have his hands run all over her body. She wanted to be his. But that was the issue right there: he could not be hers. = A new, slightly more cheerful version of the most underdog moment in known Cardassian history - the Rebellion. The OC is a young Bajoran woman who grew up among her captors. Despite everything, she not only considers the empire her home, she is also attracted to its inhabitants - a lot. As a graduate of a local military academy, she enlists as the secretary to the supreme commander: Gul Dukat himself... What could possibly go wrong, right? No need to be a fan of DS9 or ST to read: extensive footnotes included ♥ Three romances and a love triangle in a military environment with war going on (not just) in the background. Angst, smut, action, emotion, soulful romance. Some clean-up of facts and events and a lot of blanks filled to make the story served to us in the series more whole. Also containing a breathtaking screenshot of Damar ;) ♥ Warnings: explicit sex scenes, violence, language. Trigger warnings: in bold above chapters containing them. This is a Star Trek (Deep Space 9) fanfiction. The setting and most characters belong to Paramount Global & Gene Roddenberry. The original characters belong to me. Kind comments and civil constructive criticism always welcome ♥

"What does Isha want?" I ask, voice light, teasing. But I already know. Dhara tilts her head, watching me with that lazy, knowing smirk. "What do you want, pretty?" I swallow, feeling the weight of everything in this moment. The way her fingers trail softly over my wrist. The way her eyes hold me like I'm something precious. The way she makes me feel like forever isn't just a word. "I want this," I whisper, "forever." Dhara exhales, like she's been waiting for me to say it all along. Then, she leans in, pressing the softest kiss to my forehead, lingering like she's making a promise. "Then forever it is." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Isha never planned on falling for Dhara-not back in school, and definitely not now. But the reunion trip changes everything. The girl who once wore her heart on her sleeve is now guarded, unreadable. And yet, beneath the quiet stares and teasing smirks, Isha knows-Dhara still looks at her like she hung the stars. And Isha? She's always been Dhara's.
