The end of the world wasn't planned, but everyone saw it coming. All of humanity had heard the news reports and stories about the polution we, as a species, were inflicting on the world, but we simply turned away and ignored it. And then it tapped our shoulder and showed us what a huge mistake we had made. Disease running rampant, air quality dwindiling, and still people saw this as an opportunity to make money. In a rush to save humanity, scientist developed a purification system to clean the air and called them Nets. These Nets were set up around large city's, and things were good. But the nets couldn't cover everything, and eventually city's began to overpopulate. It was decided that only people that could pay could stay, and everyone not rich enough to pay the taxes on life were shoved back outside and into the Background. This is what becomes of humanity.
After suffering a world spread pandemic, world war three and finally a deadly virus that turns infected humans into zombies, the human race is pushed to the brink of extinction. Uniting the surviving governments into a single organization known as the New Alliance, the last survivors of humanity turn there efforts towards creating a fleet of starships to search for a new homeworld. Just as things begin to look up a fleet of unknown space ships enters the earth's orbit and lays siege to the planet. Forced to retreat, the New Alliance evacuates anyone they can and travels into the unknown, pursued and hunted by vampire-like creatures with an insatiable thirst for blood. Those unlucky enough to be left on Earth are captured and enslaved to serve as both labor force to fuel the alien species technology and to provide them with there life's blood. As things look grim and hope seems lost, a brave officer steps up to change humanity's fate.
