When airport custodian, Peter Jenson, is left in unexpected circumstances that require a life on the road in the southeast United States, he is soon forced to realize what is truly worth valuing. Growing up in a small neighborhood near Atlanta, Jenson has spent his youth years in a sheltered lifestyle. Sticking to traditional values and culture, Jenson prefers to serenade himself with the tunes of the sixties and the American pride of the seventies. While aware towards the change in lifestyle across the country, he takes comfort in those who share his beliefs, typically those in their later years of life. Coming across an array of folks while on his travels, he begins to understand the power of chance and what comes with it. He can appreciate getting to know a person and the temporariness that may follow. He can cherish the annual festivities and events within the small town's the United States was founded from. As money at times becomes tight, he understands the value of the penny, and not shy to obtain one.
