It doesn't matter now, because it's too late. She is already on her way to the America's to once again be sold off to another husband she didn't ask for.
This time she would change her fate though, even if means breaking a deal with the devil.

In a world of gods, pirates, and blessings, Phoenix Finch lives in a small coastal town secluded from the rest of the world. In a town that values rules, traditions, and law above all else, Phoenix has never known of anything else. When he is both rescued and kidnapped by the most fearsome pirate of them all, Nico Maheras, The West Wind, he is brought into a world so unlike his own. Scared and alone, he lashes out, and the captain lashes right back. As he is introduced to more and more of the crew, he finds that maybe, Pirates aren't as bad as he thought, and maybe the captain isn't as scary as he seems. He begins to settle into the ship, finding friendship and freedom. But when his sister is kidnapped by Redcoats for her blessing, he must take action and save her along with his new friends. But Phoenix will soon find out there is more to himself, the captain, and this story, than it seems. - - - This is the first draft of my novel, which took about a year to write. As such, this is somewhat unedited, and needs improvement. Constructive criticism is both wanted and appreciated. I hope you enjoy reading this book as much as I enjoyed writing it. Oops! I accidentally summoned a demon! When a crazy man threatens her family if she doesn't kill the man holding them all hostage, Eve comes up with her own plan to keep her family safe. What she doesn't expect is that her sacrifice is only the beginning. Update: This began as a #WITWContest challenge, but became a mild obsession as I fell in love with it. It's still a one-shot but is now a not-so-short short-story with all the answers to the questions you had when reading that first chapter. How did she get there? Where did he take her? And so much more! All of my stories feature LGBTQ+ characters: in this novel the MC and demons are all pansexual, all demons/angels are intersex (closest definition possible since they're not human), and much of the supporting cast is also LGBTQ+.
