The year is 1947, two years after World War 2. Almost 17 year-old John J. Thomas is currently living with his uncle and mother. Them being poor and living in an apartment that can barely stay intact, John decided to work three part-time jobs to help fund for the rent. After earning 10 dollars instead of 10 cents from a single portrait sale, his customer suggested he works for a cartoon making company named 'Joey Drew Studios' due to how well he can sketch and paint. But he tries to make it through and not let his family down. Matthew Patrick, he is the king of Nottera. His father and mother have become to ill to run the kingdom. Matthew is only 18, which is young for a king, but sense he is an only child, he had to rule. Matthew knew about the smiths problem, and the son. But Matthew knows how sick the poor boy has been getting everyday, and wants to help. What happens when Matthew sees this boy steal, when he knew that this guy had no criminal record.
