Bell Cranel died in the dungeon. It hadn't been his fault, he only went down to the fifth floor and never expected to meet a minotaur. The minotaur beat him down and slaughtered him. Bell believed it was the end, but instead, he awoke again. 

Bell was inside of a cell when he awoke next, though he was able to escape. Bell travelled through the lands of Lordran before slaying Gwyn and linking the fire. He then awoke within circular ruins and felt himself fall to a vortex of water. In the new lands of Drangleic Bell ventured forth and became the monarch. Lastly, he found himself with the graves of Lothric. Bell once again sallied forth and slew the lords of this land. Though as he came face to face with the first flame for the third time, Bell had something untold in history happen. After the event he found himself in a place all too familiar.All Rights Reserved

The second tragedy was a couple years later, his grandfather died while out in the mountains and they could never find his body. After that Bell left his home village and went to Orario to begin his life as an adventurer and hero, like his grandfather always told him stories about. He struggled for a long time to find a Familia, but one day he did find a goddess who took him in, regardless of how weak he was or his curse. This is the beginning of Bells journey to he a hero and adventurer along with getting revenge against the God who cursed him.

So, this is my take on a what if scenario that I saw on Fanfiction originally. What if Bell had remained in Orario with his mother and ended up forming the Erebus Familia with Alfia and Zard. Also most things in this story my be subject to change depending on the eventual path I choose. Bell is 13 because he was born 5 years before Zeus and Hera set off to complete the three Great Quests. There will be obvious similarities as I based the first portion of it. However it should become apparent that there are significant differences in the stories by the end.
