Izuku was different, he knew that.
But why did everything have to spin around what your wings looked like?
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
In a world where wings are the norm and the population having quirks has gone up to 80%, Izuku is an outcast.
No one really knows that he's quirkless, why would they when they avoid him like the plague?
All because of his wings...
Though he'll soon find out that there are people out there who are willing to help him, to be his friend.
People who won't pity him, or mock him. People who won't push and shove him. People who won't call him a monster or a freak.
People who won't see him for what his wings mark him as but for what they see him as.
As Izuku.

In a world where 80% of the population has developed unique mutations in their genetic codes, giving them "superpowers", or "quirks", as they call it, it doesn't take long for fantasy and imagination to emerge out of the earth. And further, it doesn't take long for roles of "Heroes" and "Villains" to rise up as well. But... Who coins one as a "hero" or a "villain"...? The person themselves...? Or the people around them...? Light... Dark... Dusk... Dawn... Two sides of the same coin... Twilight... --- Kageyama Kazuma is a 16 year old boy, aspiring to follow his late father's footsteps, and become a hero who saves people. But... Not all can go as planned, or wished, right? So was the case for Kazuma as well, as his quirk soon found itself being held accountable for Kazuma being coined the word "villain" by those around him, before he could even begin his journey to becoming a hero. His only light in this darkness being his mother, is willing to do whatever it takes to keep that smile she treasures so much to never leave the boy's face. But... Being a human at the end of the day, she can only do so much. Follow Kageyama through his journey to becoming one of the greatest heroes in the entirety of Japan. What awaits him on this journey? Friends? Love? Hardships? That's for you to find out. [This is a rework of my first book ever, "What It Means To Be A Hero"] --- I do not own any claims/rights to the My Hero Academia verse, all rights go to Kosei Horikoshi. I only own the original characters I've added to the story, and the arts I add in the book. In case the art doesn't belong to me, I'll credit the said person in the comments. Peace. Izuku Midoriya had everything a 4-year-old child could wish for. He had a family, a home and a quirk that was like no other. Thanks to a tragic and very bloody night, he was left with nothing then his own memories of a happy past and his quirk to protect himself. He quickly found out that people are looking at him because of his quirk. All the people ever wanted was his quirk and not him. Years pass, and the little green bean learned to trust no one but himself. If one was to ask him what was his quirk, he would say he was quirkless. It was only a protection measurement he found out to be necessary. After all, a quirkless life was better than a life in a laboratory. One day he was fortunately enough to meet the number 1 hero and could finally ask him the question of his life. What will however happen if the symbol of peace gives him an answer he has never though he would hear? More importantly, what will he do once he finds out he still has family out there? Will Izuku be able to find them? And what will poor Izuku think about his new family? Will they be able to save him from himself? Let's find out! A/N: This is a mha fanstory and I have no idea where this is gonna go ... hope you enjoy! Please also feel free to correct my bad writing. Rights on the pictures go to the artist.
