Peggy is a white, maltese, stray suffering in the cold with her older brother, Mac, and their mother, Iris. Mac is a little over two months older than Peggy. (Meaning Peggy was in the next batch of puppies. Their mother  use to be used as a breeding animal, until  the owner abandoned her when she had a litter on the way. Iris's  owner kept Mac, and sold the rest. It was winter by the time Peggy was born. She survived while all the others died. Iris is against being a pet, and wants to stay live a free life. 
But, one day while scrounging for food, they're  in for a treat. They see a trash bag of steak. Iris tore the bag open, and the family munched down.
