Katherine Hamilton is your average 16-year-old teenager: average grades, listens to her music more than her parents, has celebrity crushes and wants to make a name for herself in the world.
She gets a wake-up call when her mom sends her to live with her unusual cousins that she hasn't seen since they were children. Strange, foreign and dysfunctional, her cousins are a far cry from the normality Katherine has experienced all her life.
