Mary Jane is an adventerous girl who is funny, beautiful, and she is kinda a mystery. The only person who truly knows her is her brother James. both of their parents died when she was 17 and he was 18. Since Mary Jane is still a minor she has to be with an adult so Jason gained custody of her in court since their family lives nowhere near where they live. After Mary Jane's emotional night Jason wanted to cheer her up by trying to give her the best summer she has ever had, but it turns very twisted when Jason tries to surprise her with a boat ride on the lake. Jason never came back that day and she got very worried, she called for a missing person alert but nothing was found. One day a guy showed up to her door with a familiar computer. That computer leads her to places she never knew of and possibly will help her solve the mystery of what happened to her brother.

He hissed as the alcohol touched his bleeding wound and he grabbed my hand. His touch ignited a flame and I knew that later I might have to treat myself for burns. "I'm sorry, did that hurt?" I asked, softly. I tried to calm my breathing as I did so, he was so close. The years that I spent staying away from his kind weren't paying off. "No," He retorted sarcastically, still holding onto my hand. "I hissed because I'm a snake. Of course that hurt, pumpkin." The Pool Party

Sammi, a mean, catty, popular girl who has the hots for James, tries everything in her power to ruin Emma. After a bunch of run ins with the both of them, Sammi makes up a rumor about James, insinuating it was Emma who started it. James watches Emma embarrass herself on multiple different occasions, And still wont explain why he is upset with her. But, after Sammi gets a football player to put a cockroach in Emma's hair in class, Emma runs out to leave. She then runs into James, who Offers to give her a ride home.
