In From Night On: Awakenings, we are introduced to a character with a longer history than anyone could have ever expected. Yael Magal has been roaming the earth since before the turn of the common era. Born in 64bce, she reveals in Awakenings to Hessa that she has lived for over two thousand years, but there is so much more to her story than simply living for so long. What she has lived through deserves an open ear and an open mind.

This is an extension to the From Night On series, giving a back story to an ally who deserves her own novel. In Awakenings and Pathways, Yael proves herself an adversary to give even Saturn a cautionary pause before making her angry, but who is she? Where did she come from? What has she seen during her incredible lifetime on this earth?

Who she is, as she divulged to Hessa, is Mary Magdalene and that the story being told today is so far from the reality that its about time she told her side. A recipient of the blessings from The Being of Water, the, then, young Meira was set along a path of indescribable challenges, heartbreaking losses, and philosophical lessons that only time could offer as she meets historical figures, spiritual leaders, and mythical beings.

Keeping with the spirit of the From Night On series, this is another journey through the world's geography, cultures, societies, myths, legends, and religions. What Magdalene offers that sets it apart from the others in this series, though, is a journey through time itself.

Where Thou Art, That Is Home (Hetalia Fanfic, Part 2) by BookBird1497
68 parts Complete
Book Two, part two of the "Home" series. Alice Carlea Williams, our brave young state, has lost her memory again! To make matters worse, she's been shipped off to another dimension and wakes up in a hospital, where she's told she has amnesia. As if that wasn't bad enough, her counterpart is taking her place in her dimension, and Alice is slated to be wed to... Prussia? Holy god, what is going on. And Kadi... Poor Kadi. She's got quite a few magnificent skeletons in her closet. They're about to be thrown out into the open for everyone to see. Recurring sentences, the all-too-likely future, strange souls, and ancient history are about to become more connected than they've ever been. Are you strong-willed enough to make the journey? Because if you aren't, you just might not make it out alive... "You're needed elsewhere." "Yin and yang. Two halves of a whole. Both are connected. Both are balanced, until now, aru." Rated PG-13 for magic, swearing, one or two suggestive themes, bloodshed, multiple intense scenes, harsh reality, and fantasy. Your feels very well may not end up totally intact, fair warning. But you'll enjoy it all, every second. Read at your own risk, but please don't give up on this story. Like, a gazillion Hetalia AUs in this. And other things, many other things. A character death will be involved, and it's NOT Alice, believe it or not. I do not own Hetalia nor anything else I use or reference. What I own is meager: the plot, the OCs, and the work it takes to create this story. Thank you for reading this far, and I hope you like what you read!

But the night of the massacre changes it all. She thought she died, but she didn't. She just slept for two centuries. Two-hundred years later, she wakes up in Genesis City, one of dozens under the Saint Society. She's told that while she slept, witches had survived the huntings and won the war against the vampires. Ever since, the society had thrived, creating borders to keep them safe from the ferals who survived the war. Now that she's awake, she's no longer just the powerful witch who can navigate dreams and nightmares. She's now the possible answer to immortality. And from the moment she wakes up, Aster gets the royal treatment only given to Astrals. That is until she discovers something that will turn her from worshiped to hunted. Something is wrong with her. And something is definitely awry in this new world. As Aster tries to figure out what really happened to her two-hundred years ago, she comes face to face with Harald Evensen, a cold, immortal piece of vampire she hated then and forever. He betrayed his coven to be part of the Saint Society for a very good reason. And part of that reason is her. As much as she wants to have nothing to do with him, she needs him. Freydis can't remember which island she originated from. She can't remember her family name. She can't recall the last time she slept peacefully. ...She was too young when the raiders stole her away - from her family, her life, her future, her home. Freydis was beaten down and preyed upon for so many years. She was their slave. She believed there was no good left in the world. Then 7 years after she was taken, a legendary dragon appeared. Black as night and jade green eyes in slits like a cat, the dragon attacked without mercy and faster than you could blink. All that was left in its wake was destruction. The only warning of attack was a quiet but sharp whistle. This dragon found Freydis in the wreckage it created. She thought that was it - she would die. Then it did something she never expected. The slits in his eyes relaxed into orbs, and he nudged her to get up with a purr in the back of his throat. He could smell her injuries and her fear, and he wanted her to get up and keep moving. Suffice it to say, Freydis and that black dragon became friends. He cared for her, and she had his back. That is, until they were shot out of the sky by a stupid Viking-want-to-be. Oh, and forgot to mention she has ice powers she can't control. Thank you, gods of Asgard. Note the sarcasm. ❅ Highest Rankings: #3 gronckle #4 icepowers [Follows HTTYD1 - RTTE Season 2] [Book 1 of the Fire and Ice Saga] I DO NOT OWN HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON, only Freydis and her plot line, along with additional storyline that takes place. Please Note: This is not an Elsa fanfiction. Her image is only to help provide an illustration of Freydis. I plan to draw my vision of Freydis when I have time. The image of Elsa is a good alternative until then.
A Queen for the Frost Giant (Legends of Rahasia Book 0) by FaeWhit
51 parts Complete
The giant beneath the mountain has awakened after three centuries' slumber and devours some of my fathers' best men every morning. He will continue taking lives, one for every giant our ancient ruler killed to steal his land. But I know this ice giant, this jötunn, as Fell Hallvarðr. He came to me as a regular boy in dreams. He rumbles towards the citadel, tall as five men stacked shoulder on shoulder, I hold out a hand. "Fell Hallvarðr," I call out, ignoring the screams of horror from the warriors around me, "I place you under my royal protection, as the old ways of Cloelia Regina called upon. None of my people shall harm you so long as I live." The people cry out against me, but Fell falls to one knee, dropping me gently to the earth. "Then you shall live, little human-traitor." He replies, "in return for what?" "I shall become queen. And you shall fight for me." * Queen Cassia is a royal embarrassment. People snicker at her, knowing her lungs are too weak to draw breath, much less fight. Her parents fear she will not have the strength to undergo the ceremony to become queen, and that the royal line will have to be passed to an outsider. But all this is disrupted when the giant beneath the ice mountain, thought to be a myth, awakens and attack their city of Ymir. The rest of the cities along the Borealis are in rebellion against the main kingdom of Idriola, and Cassia aims to earn her birthright by uniting them all. * Prequel to "Legends of Rahasia Series" (Priestess for the Blind God, Princess for the Witch Doctor, Pirate for the Dead Goddess). This is the tale of how Cassia became Cassia Boadicea Regina of Idriola, the ruler of blood and ice. The fearsome matriarch of the North & conqueror-queen.
