The Pact

28 parts Complete Mature

When Jeanette's father leaves his entire business empire to her and presumably passes, she is forced to manage his assets and businesses. Unfortunately, her qualifications are for being a teacher, not a CEO, so she agrees to marry Daniel, her late brother's best friend and childhood crush, because her father's will forces her to marry in order for her to sell Lucas Industries. They strike a deal. He runs the business while she returns to teaching-but he's determined to make her fall for him because, although he became so good at hiding his feelings that she gave up on pursuing him, he's always been obsessed with her. Through carefully placed gestures, unwavering devotion, and a past neither of them has fully faced, Daniel works his way back into Jeanette's heart. But when an accident puts him in danger, she realizes the truth-she never stopped loving him and she doesn't have to run anymore.
