"You guys aren't going to budge on this, are you? You- you don't even have a proper boat, there's none of the cannons or anything. Contrary to what seems to be popular belief, it's hard breaking laws after so many years of running a benevolent kingdom. You guys know about where the empires are, and free trade agreements, and the structural integrity of certain buildings, not whatever it is you're planning." "So what?" Joel said, seemingly taking on the brunt of this debate. "We can, I dunno, steal treasure from the abandoned empires. We know where all their stuff is anyway, so hah, take that-" There was a pause. A realization shared among all three in the conversation, if you will. Not quite a lull, per se-this is something that would be marked in a script, that would be etched into history, that would seal their fates in aptly said teasing words. "Joel," began Lizzie, "Did you just come up with a near-flawless plan to become pirates?" He seemed to consider this. Looked to Jimmy, offered him a shit-eating grin. "Sorry, lad. I think you just led us right to a solution." - OR; Joel & Lizzie decide that they're best suited for a life at sea. An old friend from years past (it's only been a month or two) makes a treacherous deal with forces he doesn't understand. From their graves, ghosts of past empires arise. When present grudges and future feuds stir the pot, will our valiant heroes make it out alive? Oh, and also... there are hot women. Lots of them. Trust me. - hi all! this is essentially a sequel to High Tide, another book I have in my library- this is set to be a bit more epic though, I have a notebook's worth of planning! if you've not read it, this will make very little sense. still, welcome!

"So when did you- you know- fall in love with her?" Thomas smirked, knowing he had him right where I wanted him, with his head in Fionaland. "Woah," Newt defeated with his hands up, "What?" "I may be slow to getting to know things around here, but I'm not that slow." Tommy chuckled, "I mean I'm pretty sure half the camp has a crush on her but you're fifty shades of complicated." He rubbed the back of his neck, "You keep surprising me, Greenie. It's... just history now." He played absentmindedly with his fingers. "Why do you ask? You uh... have a thing for her?" "Gally would happily filet me if I did." I joked. He laughed but didn't seem fully at ease. "No. I don't have a thing for her, she's a friend." He nodded, with a silent radiant of pleasure. I broke and asked him about her, "Is it really history? I mean... ever since I noticed you two together now I can't stop noticing it. She walks into a room and I feel like I have to remind you to breathe." He pulled a chair over and straddling the back of it. "You know when you're running through the maze and you're almost finished, you can see the glade and you have all this built up adrenaline? You're sore, tired, sweaty but you still feel the last bit of energy to get you home? That's what I feel whenever I'm around her. It's like every nerve in my body wants to wrap around her but I also teetering on the verge danger that would come with that." "Why does she hate your guts so bad then?" -- #1 in #MAZERUNNER #1 in #NEWT -- Enemies to Lovers because it is superior. You're welcome. Stop reading this and just read the damn book. Trust me, it's got some spice and a little bit of everything else. You can yell at me in the comments if you don't like it. Based of The Maze Runner, Scorch Trials, and Death Cure movies.

  • Travelling With the Doctor
    Travelling With the Doctor
When the Doctor found me, I had no identity. No name, no belongings. I was malnourished and sickly before he found me. When he did find me, immediately I was thrust into a world full of family and friends, something I had no memory of. A strange race of beings was suddenly threatening these people, and I was left with a choice: save my family and friends, or join and destroy the town we were in. ~ I do not own Dr. Who or any of the BBC's show's characters. I own my own character, Adrian, and that's it. Other characters in this story are the property of my friends and sister. Please do not steal them. ~

Thomas turns to the side, checking himself out in the mirror. "Tell me, Kelsey. How do I look?" I look at his orange tank top and cargo pants, with a gray hoodie tied around his waist. "It's your costume, Sangster. It looks dirty and worn-out, as it should. Why do you care what I think, anyways? You don't need my approval." "Call me Thomas. Coming from you, it sounds better than my last name." He chuckles to himself before stepping away from the mirror and walking towards me. He leans over and puts his lips right next to my ear, his warm breath sending shivers down my neck. "And that's true. I don't need your approval. Strength and Sensuality [Completed]
A modern Pride and Prejudice story. Only sexier. Mira is a refugee, starting a new life far from home. She has to deal with her troubled past, her son, and her enigmatic boss, while her only weapon is her killer sense of humor. It's a slow-building love-hate story, with a strong female lead; two control freak lawyers, fighting for dominance, in denial of their feelings; an alpha discovering his submissive side; lots of humor and humanism. ~73K words ~~~ Warnings: - Mild language. Characters talk like white-collar workers usually do in real life. - Chapter 43 has mild sexual content. It isn't very graphic, it's emotional, rather, but if you don't want to read about it, just skip it. It won't affect the story. ~~~ Featured: - WP Romance's Read Together and Head Over Heels reading list - WP ChickLit and Women's Fiction reading list - WP New Adult's Romance reading list - WP Adult Fiction reading list - WP Classic Authors Twisting Austen's Magical Moments reading list - WP Retold reading list ~~~ Reviews: "You have a lot of literary elements going for you: your style is chock full of subtext, humor, and intelligence. There's a careful craftsmanship in world-building, character development, and theme." Scripturam Awards "A truly unique story with a quite remarkable a plot! It has the ability to convey the emotions stirred within the characters to the depth of readers heart!" The Graphomania Awards "I am beyond impressed with this work. The characters feel real; three-dimensional. The narration does not feel forced in any way, it flows as it reads." The Dream Awards "Some books lead with suspense and cliffhangers that even if you don't want to continue the book you do so just to sate your curiosity. But then a rare gem like this comes along and without any cheap tricks it pulls in, you just continue and keep reading it and you may not even know when you reach the end." Shadow City Awards
