Hikari has always been friends with Senku, Taiju and Yuzuriha. It's always been the four of them. While Taiju loved Yuzuriha and Yuzuriha loved Taiju, Hikari found herself falling head over heels in love with Senku. And she told blurted it out one time when they were real young that she wanted to stay by his side because she loved him. But it's been so long, she thought he'd forgotten, something illogical as that, wasn't something Senku paid attention to, but he paid attention to her. She was the only one he truly let into his heart aside from science. When the beam of light covers the sky, Hikari gets scared and looks to the only person that makes sense, Senku. Senku calms her down and tells her that there's more important things than reminding him of her feelings for him, as he already knew about her feelings. He tells her that centuries had passed and they needed to figure out how to survive. That meant gathering food, water, find shelter and clothing. When she looks to see what he means by that, she freaks out and hides behind a tree until he gets her something to cover up with. His brain didn't fully grasp the problem that she was naked, but he found her something to cover up with. Six months later, Taiju wakes up and the Kingdom of Science begins the restoration of humanity together! Growing up, I always heard people telling my dad why is he teaching me about survival. What's the point? Those skills won't be useful in this modern day of age. Why would you need to know how to use weapons like a Bow or tell the difference between some planets or fruits? But my old man never listened and good thing he didn't. My mom on the other hand taught me basic life skills I need in my day to day life like sewing and cooking. My mom was definitely more of an indoor, creative person so it's a mystery how she ended up with an outdoorsy, adventure man like my dad. But hey they say opposites attract and they are definitely proof of that. But I was never one for love. It can get complicated and it doesn't seem like something I would need during high school of all times. High school is already complicated without the need of getting romance involved. But who knows, maybe that's entirely true and I might change my mind or maybe not. Only time will tell.
