Seventeen-year-old Astoria Stephens has been trying to live a normal life ever since her sister died tragically ten years ago. Navigating the treacherous waters of high school alone and friendless has been hard enough, but when she wakes up on the first day of junior year with dragon wings on her back, she knows that normal isn't exactly going to be possible. It's not until she accidentally meets four other Dragons that she realizes that maybe her wings aren't just an odd mutation: they're a superpower. And she's going to need all the power she can get to survive the next six months. • • • My entry for the ONC, prompt 24.

She is color in a world of black and white. But forces conspire against her, endangering everything she holds dear. There are secrets that brew underneath the surface of their society. She uncovers a destiny that awaits her and revelations that could change the fate of the nation. Amasya finds herself in the middle of a revolution that threatens to tear the country apart.
