Elizabeth Webb is sent to court as replacement for her mother who was beheaded by the order of King Henry VIII, the famous Tudor monarch. Elizabeth tries her hardest to satify her sovereign lord, since the death warrant is hanging low on her head, but even the slightest mistake can cost her everything.
Meeting the demands of the court is always a challenge, but one day the King gives her an order, which might just be too much for poor Elizabeth Webb.
