I Thought So [Yancy x reader Fan-fic]

You gently placed your hand on top of his, slowly rubbing his knuckles with your thumb. This is nice. It's wonderful sitting here, just talking to someone who knew what you were going through. No sympathy. It was just a mutual understanding between two people. Yancy scooped up your hand and cradled it with his own. With flushed faces, you both looked into each others eyes-- smiles mirroring each other. "I just wanted t' let youse know dat, you-- youse is not alone. Not anymore," He whispered while gripping your hands tightly.

"You're not alone either, Yancy," you spoke equally soft, "I'll always be here for you."

Yancy's lip started to quiver. Never, not once in his life, was he told that. He quietly laughed, tears forming in his eyes, "I thought so."
