Please don't judge this too harshly I wrote most of this when I was 15. Based off of the Duology 'Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo'. A Kanej story. Some profanity. (Possibly a lot) Basically Kaz loses his gloves and Inej looks for them. Then they get in a fight and she leaves. As a child you always fear the monster under your bed or in your closet. Maybe you watched a scary movie or were told a horror story to make you believe something was under there. You jump onto your bed and jerk your limbs away from the edge or always shut your closet door. Then you hide under the covers in hopes that they don't get to you. As you grow older you realize the invisible monster under your bed is just that, invisible. Its not that they don't exist, it's just that you don't see them. You write off the bumps in the night as the wind or shifting floorboards but they're lies. Little white lies you tell yourself so you can sleep at night. Well I'm here to tell you that whatever is causing those bumps is very real. In my case, the source doesn't hide in my closet but rather under my bed. And he's determined to drag me right there with him. Can you be friends with the monster under your bed? ** "Ask me Aria," he rasped. I pulled the covers off my legs and tried to stand up. My attempt of standing up failed. But I tried again. He brings his nose to the crook of my neck, my face grimacing as I await for the pain. He breathes in, "hmmm, you smell so delicious." He coos, his breath fanning my neck, causing me to shiver In disgust. If only my brothers were here... "Wheres a delicacy like you been hiding this whole time?" His use of words has me on edge. His implementations imply that he's some sort of cannibal and judging from what he did to that other man I fear I may be right. I refuse to answer him, spitting in his face. My face bounces of the wall, the sting of his slap left behind on my cheek. I shake the pain away, placing a facade up to hide the fear within. You fucking bastard! I narrow my eyes at him, taking note of his features in case I miraculously survive this encounter. His hair is a dark auburn and his eyes that watch me with amusement are a dark blue. His attire was a black suit which seemed out of place considering he was standing in an alleyway. If I manage to escape I want to be confident that'd I'd be able to have this bastard put behind bars. Again if... His eyes shift, my eyes widening as his eyes turn from a dark blue to a pool of black, red veins trailing along from his pupil to the edge of his eyes. His voice is dark as he commands, "Show me that pretty little neck of yours." ೋღ🌹ღೋ ⚠️ Warning!!! The exit door lead to the back of the building so it was pitch black. I leaned against the wall trying to control myself. Blood was running down my arm and head. My hair was stuck to my face from all the sweat and blood. Everything was spinning around me and the ground seemed like it was shaking. Groaning I sat down and put my head on my knees. He knows who I am. He knows how I look like. He knows where I work so possible knows where I live. I am not safe anymore... no where. While I was in my own world I heard faint sounds behind me but I didn't bother to look or run away. The footsteps got closer and I was pretty sure it was Walker's men. I should run. I should try to fight. But what's the point in trying to run away? He would eventually find me and if he has his way he would most likely kill me. If this is my fate then why am I trying to fight it? I felt someone harshly grab my waist and pull me up and I complied. They dragged me down the alley and into the busy street. I heard the opening of a car and the next thing I knew I was being thrown into a car. My head hit the hard leather seat and the door shut behind me. Maybe this is how my life will end. Maybe I should just let it happen. Maybe I was destined to die alone as a no one. With that I let the darkness consume me.Complete
