Alfred, a skilled pyromancer, in a fantasy world, seeks adventure and a fulfilling lifestyle. Fire he learned quickly (being his only affinity) and at a younger age than most, was easily comparable to older magic users when it came to the flame... but they all know other types of magic though.
In fact, besides light and dark magic, all magic users can use all types of magic... making Alfred's lone element speciality a long forgotten way to do magic.
Basically, Alfred isn't as adaptable as others, and is often not accepted into guild teams. This made him feel defeated many times.
