It Takes Time

Since I was young, I wanted to fly. To soar through the clouds and feel the wind envelope my entire body. It was the one thing I've always wanted to do. But, as years go by, my wings are clipped little by little. "You can't have wings, I'm sorry. If you leave, how will we survive without you?" I had forgotten. My family needs me. How could I even think about flying?

BASED ON A TRUE STORY

Life is so hard in general. You have to struggle so hard just to survive in this world, and it's even more harder if you have dreams and goals. For the #KatyKeene writing challenge, I wanted to share why it was so hard to get where I am now. I didn't accomplish anything big or grand, but I've established something I longed for for so long: a chance for self discovery. To show who I am and discover things about myself, because I never got the chance to. Please give this a read, I promise it'll be more interesting than what you expect!
