One thing's for certain, (Y/N) is on one slippery slope! *For the record, I most definitely don't own The Hobbit or it's characters. The credit for all that awesomeness goes to J.R.R Tolkien and Peter Jackson. As for (Y/N), her backstory belongs to me, but she belongs to you!* Just so you all know, although this is a character x reader story, our little romance won't really show many signs of appearing in the beginning, so be prepared to read a fairly large amount of build-up before our love story truly begins. And, for the sake of the fic, we're gonna say Thorin is 103 and (Y/N) is 100 in the first chapter. Remember, (Y/N) is a skin-changer, and based on the 'research' I've done on the topic, skin-changers have lifespans relatively longer than those of average humans, and since no one ever really specified the exacts, I'll do what I wish with them. For the sake of the story, we'll say skin-changer lifespan can vary; some can live to be 500, others may just live to 100. AND for the sake of the fic, we'll say (Y/N) will live to be somewhere near the middle. Don't worry though, she definitely doesn't look old. And for the record, yes I get that Thorin's age in this doesn't really take into account the falling of Erebor and his presence in it, but lets just say that all of those happenings were a little more recent. BAM! (Also, if you are reading this fanfiction and like it, it would be very helpful if you shared it with other people!
