Eye fatigue in the simplest words is the tiring of the eyes. By overusing your eyes, your eyes tend to get tired. But, how are we actually overusing our eyes? Eyes are supposed to work all day when we are awake. Eyes have the work to see and how can eyes be overused or overworked? Well, overusing of the eyes mean continuously doing one task without taking enough breaks. Our eyes are designed to function in a way in which it normally blinks for 18 times in a minute. But, when we are focused on one thing then it blinks a little less. And the studies have also said that working or looking constantly at the digital devices make our eyes blink for half its actual number.

Our eyes blink for a given number of time and that makes our eyes work properly. Though this way, our eyes get refreshed naturally. This is one of the ways of our eyes to be healthy, free from any kind of irritation, itchiness, and redness. Tired eyes mean lesser blinking of the eyes too.

The condition of the tied eyes is asthenopia. This is the condition that states the overuse of the eyes. Making your eyes work in the extreme conditions like in low light, reading in low light, reading extremely small letters, using your eyes for a longer time for a particular thing are the things that can lead to the condition called asthenopia. This is more than eye fatigue.
