Louis had been feeling worse and worse lately, and there are a few different reasons for that.
First: He is in love with Harry. Problem: Harry has a boyfriend.
Second: He doesn't like his appeareance. Problem: He can't really do aything about it.
Third: He and Harry had drifred apart. Problem: He suffers from it.
To avoid his problems, Louis flees into a world that also consists of pain, but pain that he can control. And that is something he needs: control.
