It is 3062 and the Earth is consumed by darkness. When the sun exploded and the solar system collapsed, the world transformed completely, from a hopeful place to a devastation. Technology enabled light, but it is costing the planet. As the Earth hurtles through space and life is turned upside down, two worlds are formed; The North and The South.

Years later, the lack of light has transformed much of the Earth into a frozen wasteland. The two sides have formed a feud, but are pushed together by the need to live. The world is now Africa. Those who do not move when they are told die. A single step out of line and you disappear.

The North and The South created a forest, full of dark secrets to separate their people. It is forbidden to cross between the nations.

Alina is from the South. She has lost her parents and needs to find safety for her brother. She is no longer accepted in her nation.

Aaron is abused by his father. His mother has disappeared and he needs to find her. She is no longer a citizen in The North. She is presumed to be dead, but Aaron does not accept these lies.

In a world consumed by darkness, will they find the light? Will they do the Forbidden?
