A magical tattoo.
An ancient power.
One seventeen year old boy.

Indy is a normal kid.  That is, as normal as the son of a billionaire can be.  He has spent most of his life away from his family in elite private schools.  But now that he has graduated Indy is returning to his family’s new home in Northern California.  That’s when things go sideways.  A freak electrical storm follows his father’s discovery of an underground cache of ancient artifacts that appear to have magical properties.  Unfortunately for Indy and his family, a barrier of shimmering lights surrounds the discovery, preventing the artifacts or people inside, from leaving.  Governments across the globe struggle to gain control of these artifacts but a greater threat hides within the aurora, waiting in the shadows.  When the world needs a hero, will Indy be the one to rise up against the darkness and become the Guardian everyone needs him to be.

There could be gay matches, and there could even be polyamorous matches. The tattoos will tingle when you are near to your sm. And they will glow if you have found only one of your sm's if your match was poly. The trick is, you don't get the tattoo until you are 16. And even if you are near your match, as long as one of you are not of age, your tattoo will not tingle. Also, they are normal tattoos (except you don't get it or choose it, it just appears) so you can get rid of it. But if you do, your sm won't die but they will get very sick. The main characters of this story, Violet West (18) and Harper Black (20), both have a flame tattoo on their cheek. They live in the same state but for 4 years Harper paniced because she couldn't find her match. She wasn't sure if it was because her sm wasn't of age yet or if her sm lived far away. For 2 years Violet also paniced but she knew that some people don't find their sm for 5-10 years after they come of age, so she wasn't as scared as Harper. There's totally no other reason, right? All he remembers is a promise to a friend and his address, but after meeting the three extraordinary people that now stand with him he considers what he has to go home too.
