Infected mind

I don't know if you've heard my story yet, but I'm gonna tell you tonight
I was an addict for so long that I just couldn't see the light
My addiction was not chemical, nor fluid, nor needle injected
My addiction was human, my heart and mind were infected
I always thought that I was so strong and could handle anything
I found quickly that my mind was weak that's how I got my forever ring
When you love someone so much but they don't love you the same
Your mind can't stop the pain from your heart's eternal flame
I craved so very badly to be needed and loved to be complete
I realize that all along I should've dropped my pain at Jesus' feet
You search all your life for a Love to fill that empty place in your heart
Please know I learned my lesson, it is with Jesus you should start
I can shine my light now forever because its Jesus I live for now
I understand the darkness, if you want out I can show you how
You are precious and Loved beyond any of your wildest imagination
Let God show you the truth behind your divine creation
You were not made in the image of evil, nor any lesser of living things
Your a creation of our master love, life and blessings our God brings
I know that you are worth it in every breath that you will take
You are perfect and precious, mistakes, No our God does not make
So please take this thought with you as you look up at that star
Your darkness is behind you, now your light will shine that far.
Light and beauty are inside of you, not just in the night sky
