Ideally, Death and Chaos get along.
Each needs the other in order to bring into fruition the progression of human and divine life, and each plays an essential role in the upkeep of the Darkest Realm. Without one, the other can not fulfill their duty. However, reality is not ideal, so when a series of events provoked by Eris' volatility cause a disruption in the inflow of souls in the Underworld, the goddess of chaos is sentenced to assume Thanatos' responsibilities as Death for one hundred eighty two days.
If by the end of her sentence she has not come to understand the lesson the Fates provided her with, her thread will be knotted and halted in its expansion for five hundred human years. Forced to confront her very nature and the source of her disdain, will Eris be able to understand the importance of mortality? Or better yet, will she discover that something far more enchanting may lie within the end of life itself?
