Kabal didn't have a good childhood, he was abused by his father until he couldn't take it and ran. After he ran he went into a life of crime and did small things like pickpocket or steal something form a store. he did this for one year to survive until he died from being burned by an explosion but nobody found him. he awoke and saw that he was different he was burned and had grimm like features. he built himself some armor and started himself a new life and he meets team Rwby.
