Dispatched in secret to South America, by the San Francisco Intelligence Center of the U.S. Federal Communication Commission's Radio Intelligence Division, is radio engineer, Lynwood Ardent. His mission is to pinpoint, and expose a Valparaiso-based clandestine Nazi radio spy network operated by German settlers in Chile. 
The German spies, responding to demands from their superiors in Hamburg, Germany,  have been providing exhaustive details for the last year about American air and naval information in the Southern Cone. But now their masters want more, this time it's strategic information about any Allied ship transiting the Panama Canal from the Pacific to the Atlantic Oceans that German U-boats could torpedo off of the coast of Cuba.

And then I feel a hand on the middle of my back in the faintest touch and I flinch, getting surprised at the sudden feeling. "Lysander?" She quickly and quietly moved towards Chelsea's room again and whispered through the coms for backup. She then slipped into the room. "Hey-" "Ssh!" Elaine cut her off. She beckoned her forward and she could clearly see the pure terror in the young girl's eyes. "What is it?" Chelsea whispered. "I need you to stay behind me." Elaine ordered. No sooner had she said those words had the chaos erupted. She heard grunts and thuds just outside the door. Elaine knew they had to get out of the room before they were trapped.
