The planet known as Veliv has been under alien rule for almost 85 years. The rule of these aliens, called the Z'eayn and Z'firn is harsh and uncontrolled. The humans are at the bottom with no hope of ever escaping the rule of the Z'eayn and Z'firn. That is until Zyla and her brother Rin discover a long buried secret about their late father (kind of. Zyla already knew) and with forces beyond their wildest dreams coming for them, they soon discover that time is very limited. Now, with a group of new and old friends, they must take the battle to the puppet master behind the scenes. The only problem? They have no clue where to start.

From all of the things on earth, humans are the most interesting to watch. I've seen them research things, developing things, but also creating and destroying things. That's why I've been living among them for thousands of years. And all these time, I've seen humans evolve, physically but also mentally. All my stories of my lives through out history are different. And now, humans are at the peak of there break through of science with their knowledge of technology. This is a new story of mine. A story about my new life in a new modern generation, my first appearance as a teenager. (If you want to know how the main characters (Ren, Michelle, Kyle, Shun, Dave) look like, see the cover.) Shit. The corners of her mouth pull up, and it's so unnatural, it takes me a moment to realize she's smiling. Major plastic surgery? Probably. Click. Did she just lock the door? She locked the door! I spring towards the house phone, dusty from years of doing absolutely nothing, so I can call the police. I don't make it. Halfway there, I trip on my own pant-leg and face plant on the floor. The woman steps over me and retrieves the phone. She looks at it as if it's a foreign object, "This won't be necessary. All I want to do is talk to you." For some reason, instead of screaming, I stay silent. She smiles and pulls out a chair from the kitchen table for me to sit on. When I don't sit, she says, "If you want to know what's going on, then sit." I think about it for a moment. She hasn't hurt me yet, and I have to admit, I am quite curious as to what's going on. When naive alien brothers, Rik and Ren decide to leave their comfortable safe life and set out on their own as Freelancers they find that their first adventure takes them into a situation they aren't quite used too and find that they have to learn to adapt quickly and that the world isn't as safe as they thought it was! or that it would be as easy as they thought it would be and have to learn to rely on themselves and the crew of their small ship and basically come of age. The story I admit is strongly inspired by both Star Wars and Firefly but it is not taken in either of those universes although it could easily fit in both of them. And thanks to CANVA for providing the cover. Rik and Ren are original characters, the art inside the book is my own. And I thank anyone who reads, comments, and even votes on this! Have you ever had a dream where you find yourself in an alien landscape with two humanoid monsters staring at you? Me neither. Unfortunately, it happened to me in real life.
