Aidren Alson has been stuck in The Walker Military Protection and Reintegration Facility for four years.
Six months before his arrival, a deadly virus spread across the world killing most of the population. Aidren and others were told the virus caused the activation of specific abilities and were taken into protective custody by the government because they were dangerous to others. Told the activation of his powers caused his parents' death, Aidren was classified as a Carpenter, those who manipulate plant matter. The other classes are Welders and Sirens, who can manipulate metal and soundwaves.
Plagued from recurring nightmares of his father's voice and knowledge that his powers are different from others, he believes that he is being lied to and wants answers.

[2023 Wattys Shortlist, 2023 Amby Awards winner, Featured 4 times in Wattpad Picks lists] Kaleth has worked as an agent of Luxarx for years. What the average person might see as an exciting, dangerous job has become the routine, and the only thing that fazes Kaleth now is that his habit of wearing suits everywhere is somehow still a thing his teammates tease him over. But that's all about to change. An encounter with one unexpectedly peaceful (and cute) terrorist soldier brings everything he thought he knew into question. If not all Umbra are dangerous criminals, what else does Luxarx get wrong? As he investigates, Kaleth stumbles onto a conspiracy that doesn't just concern the agency, but also his government, and the whole world. There are monsters hiding in plain sight, secretly in charge of everything since the very beginning - the long-forgotten dragon-gods with supernatural abilities. And they are definitely not as mythological as everyone thought. Now branded traitors, can Kaleth and his team fight back against the government they once served, and stop a world war before it can start? --------------------------- [word count: ≈ 90 000 words] • Book 1 - The Return of the Gods • Book 2 - The Return to Irithara • Book 3 - The Return of the Lifebringer • Book 4 - The Aperios [Featured in Wattpad Picks lists: 'Extraordinary Realms ✨' in December 2023, 'Reading Radar' in January 2024, 'Celebrating Wattpad Hits' in February 2024, and Valiant Heroes 🏰✨🏔 in June 2024, and also on the @fantasy profile]

{COMPLETED} "now that you've had your fun electrocuting me, would you care to hop in the backseat?" ---------------------------------------------------------- Freak DNA. That's what I like to call it. The fault to my genetic code. More often than not, it's a curse. The static running through my blood gave me a name. A cruel, daunting label of a measly bug. A roach. That's what I am to them, to the government. Roach; the nameless monster with electricity for a sense and lightening as a second nature. It ruined my life, the sparking currents playing tag in my mind, running around and bumping into everything, shaking me loose. The government, actually. They ruined my life. My curse just gave them a reason. You see, the normal population with ordinary DNA, they don't know about the people like me. The roaches of the world. We don't get that kind of recognition at the camps. There, we are only one thing in the military's eyes. We are weapons and we will act like it. Everyone else out there, bathing in the goodness they don't know they've got, they don't know about the roaches their stepping on. As long as their getting closer to the sky, they don't care what they stand on to reach it. They don't know about the sparkling dreamer that's killed 7 people before her 17th birthday. They don't about the ghost of a girl peaking around corners for her entire life because even home wasn't safe. They don't know about the fighter of steel and iron sucking on his bloody lip courtesy of the wars he battles in as nothing but a shadow. They don't know about the masked villain who would do anything to see the army they lead claim the throne They don't know about us. But they will, because we will rise. And when we arrive, we will arrive violently. ___________________________________________ Started: 10.06.15 Finished: 3.17.16

She yelled as she pushed Zeke away, causing him to fall to the ground. "You can touch me?" Zeke asked shockingly. He stood and composed himself as he began to yell. "Who the fuck are you, how do you know Jiro, and why the fuck did you have the knife? Are you some Nova bitch?" "I don't understand what's going on, I just deliver stuff for assholes to pay for college. I only know the nightclub guy because I've delivered stuff from there and he always asked if I wanted ecstasy! I swear I don't know you or what Nova is!" She replied. !Trigger warning!
